We have always loved the view from our upper hay fields and had a vision of sharing this beauty with fellow golf enthusiasts. We started building our golf course in 2003 for the pure joy of golfing in these beautiful northern Vermont mountains. Over the years, our hobby has grown into a successful enterprise attracting golfers in search of a spectacular natural setting and family friendly atmosphere.

Environmental Philosophy

Lake Willoughby Golf is “Green” in more than just the traditional golf course meaning. Absolutely no pesticides or chemicals of any kind are used. This pristine course stays Environmentally Green through the works of nature and a riding mower only.

This is our home - so the importance of respecting the land and water around us is clear. Our mission is to continue keeping our springs and water sources free of harsh chemicals and to continue Lake Willoughby Golf’s dual purpose as a haven for local wildlife.
